What Travelers Say

5/5 from 355 verified GetYourGuide travelers

"I booked this tour only to be able to see the Chapel Of Bones, which was a MUST SEE on my list, and because my original tour from another provider was cancelled last minute. I could have done without the extra drive further away from Lisbon to get to Monsaraz and the wine tasting, especially since there was a big event happening at Monsaraz that day and it was very crowded. But our tour guide Paolo did his best to try to make it work for our small group."

"One of our best ever trips. Hugo was friendly and articulate, finding the perfect balance between informative and allowing individual exploration. We booked this for Chapel of Bones (which was amazing), but were so pleasantly surprised by Monsaraz! The wine tasting was fantastic as was the host. Possibly our favourite day of our entire trip as well. Can’t recommend highly enough!"

"Our trip to Évora and Monsaraz with Suzanna as our guide was amazing! She was not only a great driver but also shared fascinating historical information about the sights, like the Roman Temple and the Chapel of Bones in Évora. My family and I, along with another tourist, felt completely comfortable as she guided us through these beautiful locations. Suzanna also gave us a great recommendation for lunch, where we enjoyed delicious local dishes in a cozy spot. Overall, it was a fantastic day, and I’d highly recommend her tour to anyone visiting the area!"

"Hugo and Madalena were fantastic. They were both pleasant and easy to talk to. Both very knowledgeable. They provided good recommendations for places to eat, in addition to all the information about the places we visited. They gave us free time by ourselves too, and had a perfect mix of talk and quiet time. It was a very relaxing tour!"

"We had a great time on this tour to Evora and more. It was a small group (3 people) so felt like a private tour! Our guide Alex was excellent - funny, enthusiastic, and clear in communicating meeting time/place. He had had engaging historical stories and seemed to tailor them to our questions vs using a standard script. I highly recommend any tour with him! Evora was small and easily navigable, and we were able to see all the sights and still have free time to browse shops. I didn’t know what to expect from Monsaraz, but it ended up being a highlight. You can really picture medieval times in this tiny, hilly village. We had a lovely lunch there, tasted 5 wines, then loaded our tired, happy selves into the van back to Lisbon."
